Edward Nygma by kuri-osity Edward Nygma by kuri-osity
My take at a cartoon-style Edward Nygma, aka, "The Riddler".

He looks a bit young ... maybe this is during his pre-supervillain, university days?

Any thoughts on who I should sketch next in this style?

Edward Nygma, aka the Riddler is a deeply interesting character, he knows he is extremely intelligent but like all really clever people they need to prove it. That's the frailty of genius, it always needs an audience and I think it's safe to say the Riddler has had most of us watching him prove his intelligence for a good part of half a century. Whilst I do like some of his more standard costumes I do like how's he's presented here. The misleading signs of a typical intellectual with standard messy hair but that old smile, that old arrogant smile which tells us 'I'm smarter than you, and here's why'. Brilliant rendition of a brilliant character.

id love to see you turn more people into cartoons but i don't really have any suggestions due to the fact that most of the characters on shows i watch are already either cartoons or anime

Hmm, maybe sometime I'll try drawing some anime characters in a more western/realistic style. :)

I think I once saw a char design where the glasses actually had little magnets that stuck to a nose piercing.

I wonder if that's actually a thing for minimalistic glasses with thin lenses.

I've seen some that are held in place by the ... uh, nose part (can you tell I don't wear glasses?) ... clipping to the bridge of the nose. I imagined they'd hurt if kept on for more than a few minutes, but they were costume glasses (they were frameless circles, a la mad scientist look).
